Our customer requires robotic solutions with a high degree of autonomy for responding to incidents involving chemical or biological agents, keeping personnel safe and reducing the dependence on cumbersome protective equipment.


Our solution is a highly innovative drone-based technology enabling a specialist sensor to be operated remotely by a non-specialist responder. We set extremely tight constraints on our solution – a platform that can be inserted through an aperture as small as a mail slot, whilst carrying 400 grams of payload for over 15 mins. To achieve this, we developed an entirely novel ducted fan control technology enabling us to build highly compact lifting platforms that are extremely efficient for their size.
